How to download YouTube videos without any add-on or software

In our previous post, we showed you how to download YouTube videos on Firefox, which required an add-on.

Now, to simplify it further,  here is this post which will teach you how to download youtube videos on any browser without installing any software.

Sounds unreal?  Let us show you how…

     1.   Go to YouTube and play the video you wish to download.

    2.  Go to the address bar of your browser and type “ss” (without the quotes) after “ www. ” and before “ youtube.com ” as shown.

3.  Hit enter. A page will open up as shown. (Grant the permission  if  any security certificate issue comes up).

4.  Click on the format in which you wish to download the video. ( You may click on “ more ” to display all the available video formats”).

Once you click on a format, the download will start automatically.

That’s it!  Too easy, wasn’t it?
